Jrue Holiday: "KD Could Play the Point Guard Spot Just as Well as LeBron"
Team USA Guard Praises Kevin Durant's All-Around Game
Holiday: "He Can Do Everything"
Jrue Holiday, a member of the USA Basketball Men's National Team, heaped praise upon Kevin Durant, saying that the Brooklyn Nets star could play point guard as well as LeBron James.
Holiday, who played with Durant on the Oklahoma City Thunder from 2009 to 2012, said that Durant's all-around game makes him a threat from anywhere on the court.
"He can do everything," Holiday said. "He can score, he can rebound, he can pass, he can defend. He's one of the most complete players in the NBA."
Durant has averaged 27.2 points, 7.1 rebounds, and 6.0 assists per game in his career. He has also won two NBA championships, two NBA Finals MVP awards, and two NBA MVP awards.
Holiday's comments come as Durant is set to lead Team USA in the upcoming Olympic Games in Paris. Durant is one of the most experienced players on the team, and he will be looked upon to lead the Americans to a gold medal.
Durant has said that he is excited to play for Team USA and that he is confident in the team's chances of winning gold.
"We have a lot of talent on this team," Durant said. "We're all excited to represent our country and we're all confident that we can win a gold medal."
