Former NBA player Joe Bryant has passed away at the age of 70. Bryant passed away on July 16 after a long battle with cancer. He was a seven-time All-Star and helped the Philadelphia 76ers to the 1977 NBA championship.

Bryant played 10 seasons in the NBA for the Philadelphia 76ers, San Diego Clippers, and Houston Rockets. He averaged 8.7 points and 4.0 rebounds in 606 career games. He was also a talented defender, known for his quick hands and athleticism.

After his playing career, Bryant became a coach. He spent five seasons as an assistant coach with the Lakers and was the head coach of the WNBA's Los Angeles Sparks for two seasons.

Bryant's son, Kobe, is one of the greatest players in NBA history. Kobe Bryant won five NBA championships with the Lakers and is the league's all-time leading scorer. Kobe Bryant died tragically on January 26, 2020, in a helicopter crash.

Joe Bryant is survived by his wife, Pam, and his three daughters. He will be remembered as one of the great players of his generation and as a loving father and husband.
