De Zerbi Would Love Milan Call
There are many reasons why Roberto De Zerbi would be tempted to leave his current position at Brighton & Hove Albion for a job at AC Milan.
For one thing, De Zerbi is a lifelong Milan fan. He grew up watching the Rossoneri and idolized players like Paolo Maldini and Andriy Shevchenko. The chance to manage his boyhood club would be a dream come true for him.
Secondly, Milan is one of the biggest clubs in the world. They have a rich history and a passionate fan base. De Zerbi would be able to compete for trophies and play in front of sell-out crowds every week.
Thirdly, Milan is in need of a new manager. Stefano Pioli was sacked last month after a poor run of form and Milan are now searching for a replacement.
De Zerbi would be a good fit for Milan. He is a young and ambitious manager with a proven track record of success. He has won the Eredivisie title with Ajax and the English Championship title with Brighton.
It remains to be seen whether Milan will come calling for De Zerbi, but if they do, it would be a difficult offer for him to turn down.
De Zerbi Confirms Desire to Coach in Italy and Expresses Gratitude to Milan
In a recent interview, De Zerbi confirmed his desire to coach in Italy one day.
"I love Italy and I would like to coach there one day," he said. "I have great memories of my time at Milan and I am grateful for the opportunity I had there."
De Zerbi spent two years at Milan as a player from 1999 to 2001. He was part of the team that won the Serie A title in 2001.
It is clear that De Zerbi has a lot of affection for Milan and it would be no surprise if he one day returned to the club as manager.
